The Example in the pink box on page 160 has me a bit confused. It reads:

[q][This gives them each their basic kit (MedKit for Scientist and Marine..."/q]

Is the "basic kit" defined anywhere out of the Example box? There is an Enemy Kits chart on page 161. Is this where the basic kit is defined?

If so, under "1 KIT =", for a Marine, it lists VibraKnife and not MedKit which contradicts the pink Example box.

What does "2 KIT =" and "3 KIT =" etc. mean?

The idea of the numbered kits is to show that if an enemy has enough carry capacity, this is the extra equipment that will be in that slot.

In the pink box example, the guy gets a vibraknife as his equipment so the first kit that would be "vibraknife" moves on to kit 2"Medkit" for the marine. I agree that is a little confusing. I should be held accountable for it at the pointy end of the vibraknife.
