Well I figured someone has to offically ask....

One possibility..To win x artifacts before game turn y ???

Yes, I've tried this simple rules, it works :
- Decide how many artifacts you want to discover.
- Count how many Chance cards you need to succeed (for example 2 decks + 10)
- Try to beat your score in subsequent plays

Voilà !

I'd like to see some sort of ultimate bad guy your character(s) have to defeat where the UBG gets stronger as the game goes on making it harder to win. Kind of like in Arkham Horror. Or some sort of event deck where something bad is happening in the kingdom and you only have a limited amount of time to thwart the nemesis.

But in either case, I'd like some kind of semi-random mechanic for creating a game ending that forces a player to keep things moving rather than just x number of turns and trying to best your last attempt.

I need to play the game more to get a feel for how fast you should advance and the balance needed, but a deck where mini-bosses come out after certain points ultimately leading to the final boss would give a solo version some playability.
