Quick clarification: what is the significance of the unit symbols that are partially filled in, such as those below...

...in contrast to the Greek 3rd Mountain, for instance?

I assume it is used to highlight white-print units, but then the Soviets do not follow the same standard (see the 1st Guard Mountain): is that because, for the Soviets, the filled colour is to highlight only the Siberians?

Cheers

Ok! Seems strange, as I would have thought that Everything Must be There For A Reason :-)

Oh, there will be significance when the "NATO Boxes in Flames" expansion comes out!

Oh nooooo. I bought Final Edition way back when, and just now Collector's; please don't tell me there will be an Ultimate Edition in 10 years' time...? cry

Yeah... I think the WiF experience is fully loaded for the rest of my life. I would also rather see an Empires in Arms 3rd edition.
(Won't complain about a DoD IV updated to the same rule consistency and production quality as WiFCE, though)

More confident at some point dod4 will come out, and ideally some new version of America / Patton in flames.

Given i would like first a pif rework first of all as current pif in my eyes is poorly done.
