5 players versus 4, 20 characters on 20 characters, six platters. 2.5 hours play. All the adventures were on the map, but using Box Canyon, five of the adventures were blocked off from any Domes by mesas -- the Colonial and Ancient labyyrinths, Field of Honor, Royal Tournament and Lith Alliance were all blocked out.

Team White did this because they had Chief Joseph, who could go right over the mesas, taking people with him.

Team White had GRASP, Big Herr, Chief Joseph and Daria Dugrebski, the Ulfs, among others. Two of the six platters were Future, two Colonial, two Modern. So they had the terrain and the setup exactly what they wanted.

Team White lost 2 to 4. GRASP spent the entire game but one turn on Future or in Lith Alliance, on the blocked off portion of the map after Chief Joseph escorted it there. As a result, Team White won the Future Labyrinth. They also won the Mercenary Camp with Big Herr. But the big heroes were on Team Black.

Team Black did the following to win:

They dominated the platter next to the Box Canyon area, keeping Chief Joseph from escorting anyone except GRASP and Koguryo into the blocked off area.

This area also contained the Ruins of Cany. Team White was not able to get in to move the marker.

They used the Jump Pad to teleport Boolean into the cutoff area, where he laid a sentinel to ward off visitors to the Colonial labyrinth. He then tied up the Colonial labyrinth.

Marcus Aurus killed Team White's HQ.

Kassina turned dragon to fly over Box Canyon and kill GRASP, but was immediately dismissed due to a Team White labyrinth adventure. Unfortunately, it allowed Kassina to appear close to a defenseless Chief Joseph and Damon Raven stacked in the same space. She turned dragon again, ate Chief Joseph and cooked Damon in his attempt to flee.

The final kicker was this -- Team White, down 2 to 3, had only one chance to even it up. GRASP had to pass a challenge the Lith Alliance. With all Black ratings, it failed horribly. Team Black then used the Displacer Cube to teleport Ryan into Lith Alliance, and pass the challenge.

Team White won: Future Labyrinth, Mercenary Camp

Team Black won: Character Count, HQ Kill, Modern Labyrinth, Lith Alliance.

A few notes:

GRASP had everything go its way in the game. It escaped to an area where enemy could not reach him, and the Tower of Maneuver was safely locked up inside the Box Canyon blockage, so it could not be manuevered out. But Black effectively countered this by giving away the Future Labyrinth, keeping the enemy from the Ruins, and going after the other points in the game. GRASP came in the game immediately. GRASP is of no value for either combat or adventuring, so Team White was effectively one character less for both purposes through the entire game.

Team White spent too much time on the Future labyrinth. In one turn, they had no less than 9 characters in the labyrinth, all waiting for their turn in the wagon train. Part of this was because they had few places to go, with Black aggressively shooing people away from the important sector of the map with Private Sanchez and his Kentucky Rifle, Grok with pistols galore and Kassina carrying four cards donated from successful adventurers in the Modern labyrinth.

Never move a pile of Ulfs past Minx and Jinx.
