May I pass along my congratulations for your great interdimensional breakthrough. I am sure, in the miserable annals of the Earth, you will be duly enshrined. -- Lord John Whorfin

Ok, that's an odd request. goo

But I was going through some old microgames, and came across my copy of Chitin: I.

It'd be cool to play this with insect minis. I also have a game called Tribes with cavemen that I 'd like to get minis for.

Any recommendations/suggestions?

Not sure what exactly you are looking for, but there are a few set of bug miniatures (flys, scorpions, ants, spiders) on this site.

Here's some cutesy bugs...

I ordered some of their mini dinosaurs for the game Evo and am quite pleased.

Novelty stores or kid's stores would be a good place to find plastic or rubber insect minis. I've seen them in bins in the independent stores (i.e. not Target or TrU). Here's a link to Reaper's website, search for 'caveman' in the Figure Finder:

(although this should bring you to the four-pack.

Ken, try Finnigan's and/or Toys At Heart on Hawthorne (both Portland, OR stores.) They both have bins of low-cost plastic toys including bugs etc.

Last time I was at Insects and Cavemen they had a pretty good selection. Sorry, couldn't resist. It would be hard to find insects that match the specific functional appearance of Hymenopteran war bugs (stabbers, slashers, etc.).

I too stumbled on my old copy of Chitin: I a while ago and came up with some variants that I have to get around to posting, like the "Zone of No Control." Here's a mnemonic to remember the cyclical combat advantages: "SHiRTS"
