I was just reading through James Fehr's geeklist on all of the attributes that he takes into consideration when deciding on buying a game http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/25077. It got me to thinking that since many of these attributes would be best decided by the polling of everyone, wouldn't something similar to the ranked pairs system be good for this? I don't think I could easily sit and rank all of my games on a one to five list for each of these attributes, but I could probably look at them and say which one fits the description more than another. With enough of this information aggregated, wouldn't that result in a fairly accurate measure?
Oh yeah, it would kind of be N! pairs wouldn't it. Well, it was just a passing thought anyway. Even doing just one person's collection of 100 games for example would be on the order or 10^137 pairs. I guess I posted before I thought the math out.
