Love Letter Werewolf
By Team Math is Our Jam

You are seeking to woo the Princess Cassandra. Unfortunately, she has locked herself in the palace, and you must rely on another to deliver your love letter. Whose letter will reach her first? - heavily based on Love Letter’s description.

This is a game for 11 players, that is based on the card game Love Letter. The roles are taken from the Hi! set:

Good Roles:
Seer
Brutal Parity Hunter
Martyr
5 Villagers

Evil Roles:
2 Werewolves (first is brutal)
Full Role Sorcerer-Cultist

The Love Letter Aspect:

Each day (including D0) you will be given two cards from the Love Letter deck (including the expansion). By the ‘midday’ deadline, you must choose one of them to discard, granting you that card’s power. All discards will be revealed to thread. By the dawn deadline, you must choose how to use that power. The order in which powers are used, will be determined by the value of the card you kept in the previous phase (randomly for D0), and in the case of a tie, will be chosen randomly (except the previous round winner will always go first). If you are eliminated from the round before your turn, your power will have no effect. If you target someone who has been eliminated from the round, your power may have no effect if you do not have a backup (conditional orders are highly encouraged).

Each day, your default vote power is 1. If you still have a card in your possession from dawn (i.e. were not eliminated from the round), your vote power is 2. You will gain an additional vote power if you win the previous round (by having the highest ranked card of the remaining players, ties broken by value of discarded card(s), then by player order).

Cards are processed after all other powers. All card targets and effects (except view results) will be publicly revealed at dawn. When a player dies, the card they are holding is removed permanently from the game.

Deadlines:
Midday: TBD (by poll)
Dusk: 4pm BGG
Dawn: 5pm BGG

Mods Rules:
1. Balance is carefully attempted but not guaranteed.
2. This is supposed to be fun, so be nice to each other. Anyone who acts against this will be given a warning, and if it continues they will be modkilled.
3. Posting during stated ‘no posting’ times is not allowed. Anyone suspected of deliberately posting content during these times will be modkilled.
4. Deleting of posts is not allowed. Editing of posts is not allowed, except for fixing typos and grammatical errors in posts that do not contain votes, which should be indicated. This may also result in a modkill depending on the offence.
5. Powers that trigger on death (such as a brutal) will not take effect if modkilled.
6. Activity requirement: It is required that each player either place a vote each day, or state intention to not vote. It is required that each player have valid orders entered by the appropriate deadline. It is also required that each player post to thread sometime between dawn and three hours before dusk each day. If any of these requirements are not met, the player will be put up for replacement.
7. You may not quote your mod chat in the thread.

Cards:

The powers of the cards are as follows (the number on the left is the card's rank, the number on the right is the number of copies of that card):

8. Princess (1) - If you discard the Princess (for any reason), you are eliminated from the round.

9. Bishop (1) - Guess the value of a player’s card (cannot guess 1). If you are correct, your vote power is increased by 1 for the next round. The Bishop loses to the Princess.

7. Countess (1) - Must be discarded if you hold the King or Prince.

7. Dowager Queen (1) - Choose another player still in the round and compare cards. The player with the higher card is eliminated. (No effect in case of a tie.)

6. King (1) - Trade cards with another player.

6. Constable (1) - If you are eliminated from this round, you retain a base vote power of 2.

5. Prince (2) - Choose a player (including yourself) to discard their card and draw a new one.

5. Count (2) - Adds one to the value of your card at the end of the round.

4. Handmaid (2) - Cannot be targeted during the round.

4. Sycophant (2) - Choose a player who must be the target of the next player (if applicable).

3. Baron (2) - Choose another player still in the round and compare cards. The player with the lower card is eliminated. (No effect in case of a tie.)

3. Baroness (2) - You may choose two players to view. You will be told the first card that each player is receiving for the next phase.

2. Priest (2) - You may choose a player to view. You will be told the first card that player is receiving for the next phase.

2. Cardinal (2) - Exchange the hands of two players. You may choose one of these two players to view. You will be told the first card that player is receiving for the next phase.

1. Guard (8) - Guess the value of a player’s card (cannot guess 1). If you are correct, the player is eliminated from the round.

0. Jester (1) - Guess the winner of the round. If you are correct, your vote power is increased by one for the next round.

0. Assassin (1) - If you hold this card, and another player targets you with a guard, that player is eliminated from the round.

Questions,

A)What happens in the case Countess/Dowager Queen puts both Counts before the end of the game (Assuming they didn't discard their Countess/Dowager Queen card previous) and there's a player who's the Princess at the end of the game?

B)Same as A) but they only put down one Count previous

C)Same as A) but replace Countess/Dowager Queen with King/Constable

Princess always wins. Thematically, you're trying to get your letter to the Princess, so having her holding your letter at the end of the game is always better, no matter how many Counts are vouching for the other people.

In this game, every day is a new round, and all cards are reshuffled, so you will only have the opportunity to play one card in the round.

While the Bishop always loses to the Princess, a Countess/Dowager with a Count will tie the Princess, in which case the normal tiebreaker rules apply.

@Cvb

Another question; You have 2 people, one has the Bishop and the other has the Princess and one of them plays the Baron or Dowager Queen on the other, what happens?

The Bishop's loss to the princess is only relevant at the end of the round. So Bishop will beat the Princess when a Baron is played and lose when Dowager Queen is played (9 > 8).

So their numbers are still considered
