Oh boy oh boy oh boy!
I feel like a cartoon character from my youth whose name I have - clearly - forgotten.

Let me start with this: I don't think the game needs an expansion. But obviously, an expansion with more of the same without introducing too many new mechanisms or adding too much to its playing time, would happily find a warm home in my house.

Hoping for:
- a solo AI/automa
- more tiles for more variability
- more cards for, well, the same.
- if a new mechanism is introduced it doesn't add to complexity of the game

Not hoping for:
- a 5th player
- too much more table space
- an increase in playing time

An expansion is announced?
Where did you hear about it?

There was a banner here on boardgamegeek that announced it.

Totally agree with both wishes. And I don't think the game would be harmed by:

May be they could add some different boards. I could not understand why the reverse of the original boards did not include unique bookshelves.

Perhaps also, some personal goals.

Ach so.
No banners in my browser.
Usually preferable but sometimes you miss something, apparently.

BGG lists Newton as playable at 1 player. Are there not already solo rules?

Just a beat your own score.

I know we all shake our heads at beat your own score as solo rules, but I don't find it frustration here. There's so much variability in set up.

Hi all!
The expansion we release in Essen is a cheap mini expansion, in the same format of the Marco Polo mini expansions.
We design 2 separate modules:
-30 new action cards with a new mechanics and some new intresting effect
-8 new large tiles (great ideas that change the history of science) that you can acquire with a lot of money and that has 2 different effect: 1/2 free permanent books and a lot of points. To get the points you must turn the tile down (and loose the books); points from these tiles decrease during the game, so it's important the timing to turn them down.
This module include also 3 tiles in the same kind of the base game connected to this element.

Do you mean Snuffles as the cartoon dog?

Nice! Sounds exciting, and like it might boost the viability of collecting money for higher scores..!

Is there any plans for further (big?) expansions?
As the banner on BBG said "1st expansion of..."

Any chance the Hawking and Hooke promo cards will be included with the expansion?
