The quality of a game is a part of the game.

I see many high rated games only because they have alot of nice mini's.
Do you complain about that too?

Or i see alot of people giving high ratings to games that they backed but did not playd yet.
Do you complain about that too?

The people like myself who complain about the 1 "hate" ratings also dislike and occasionally post objecting to the 10 "fanboy" ratings.
Like Carsten said if we let the trolls take over then we wreck a lot of the ideals that were the foundations of BGG.

Got it, the answer is no. I'm really concerned about that. How can a company like Cranio, with a lot of experience in this field (ok, not in ks field, but in boardgames in general) and one of the major and appreciated publisher in Italy (and not only) let that this happened? I know for sure that the game is great and we will love it, but when this will happen?

Ok, there were some mistakes, and I don't care about delays, but I hope you understand that some of Cranio answers seem lies to us.

P.s.: thank you for your time. I really think that your presence could have helped a lot if they told you to manage this situation before.

Sara,

I can understand delays, but if you're not sure what the shipping status is, why did the June 19th update via Kickstarter read 'The games will arrive in about 2 weeks in the fulfillment centers'. Either the boats have to be already on the water for that to be true, or air shipment lined up. I get that the exact arrival may not be known, but I think a lot of backers would be happy to know at least that the games are on a boat that has left the production location.

+1.

I can't think of a compelling reason why Cranio should be unable to confirm with high certainty *that* the shipment left China, and if so, when. There are other factors that are beyond Cranio's control (no control over time spent in customs, for example), but the basic question of if and when the shipment went to sea ought to be straightforward.

Please push hard on this question, Sara. That manufacturer owes you (Cranio) that information as much as you owe it to us.

Maybe they mean that it takes two weaks shipping when they leave harbour.

I think the issue comes from other places... they delay ks shippind to be able to add all retail for essen and editions from other partners (some of them told in interviews saying that they were ready for printing 1 or 2 months ago, and they say that the game should be in the next monts.

As for me it is imposible that cranio wait two months to know where half a million in boardgames are... added to other info plus the last six months behaviour... i am afraid that this is another case of “imlove the backers, give me money, share my fb post, but dont ask for your game that the business is the business and we can save money using your conteiner”

Well if they let the backers waited to also let the retail copies to be shipped to safe costs then....
I may hope this is not true.

@Sander,

there are far more worse option than that, maybe they are out of cash and can't pay to manufacturer?

@Sandra,

please tell us what is the production company name so we can contact them.

In Poland we had similar case with one publisher, but we knew who was producing and after quick email we knew that publisher did not pay for goods and their will not leave China...

This is why I have already reported this project to Kickstarter. There is high probability that it is a scam, no pictures/credible info about production, no credible info about shipment
I hope I am wrong, but...

I don't know but that awfully animated dude talking about how to play/lore killed any interest I had in the game. I always get that undesirable image in my head whenever I see or hear of this game. That, and water drops going down doesn't really seem to go into the "exciting" category.

2 weeks shipping means rail, rail from China to PL takes 14 days

Hello, here is some news about why we are not telling you anything about shipping. Believe us we are trying to get info evey day.

Becq, we know our partners owe us this info, but if we call and they say they can't help us, what can we do?

Gustavo, for sure we are not deliberately delaying the shipping, that would be nonsense!
--
Months have passed since everything was ready at the factory and still no shipping info because:

AMERICA/EUROPE:

- our courier Ventana Serra, who is in charge of the overseas shipment (NOT the actual fulfillment on single countries), had to organize with several partners who take care of the fulfillment: Lion Rampant (for Canada) and Fulfillment Europe (for Europe). In addition to that, Lion Rampant had to organize themselves with ShipBob for USA fulfillment. As you can imagine, the dialogue among all these partners is not easy nor quick.

For example, we spent 3 weeks trying to fix some pretty important documentation where they put the wrong consignee on. 3 weeks just to solve this and this caused a sequence of further delays, particularly booking the ships.

- there were other delays caused by agreement changes, oil price changes, and we had to find the best solution in order to get you the games as soon as possible

- it is not easy to communicate with our partners abroad. We call Ventana every day and every day they give us the same answer: they cannot give us the names of the ships because the harbors agents are usually very busy and it usually takes around 10 days to have the ship names.

The latest on-board dates they gave us were June 21 for Europe and June 25 for America. We didn't tell you this before because we are waiting for confirmation of the departure.

So the answer is no, we are not 100% sure of where the ships are at the moment, as awkward as this may sound. Believe us, we really want to have this information as much as you do.

ASIA/AUSTRALIA:

For Asia the situation is easier because VFI got the copies of the game directly from the factory, they are one single partner that we talk with and they started shipping sooner directly by truck.
As you can see, Hub names are starting to appear: http://vfi.asia/hubs/

Thank you for the update. But this does confirm that the message on KS June 19th was a straight lie. If the on board for USA/Europe were June 25/21, there is no way that the games could be at fulfillment centers in about 2 weeks from the time of that post, as was stated. I demoed the game at Essen and am sure that it is real and not a scam as others of stated, but I am very disappointed in Cranio's management and communication of this project.

Hi Bart, the first departures dates we had were different, they were postponed after all the problems I told you... June 21 and 25 are the last dates we got, we hope they are the definitive ones!

Hi Becq, I think you need the name of the ship to use that, am I right?
You said you were using Ventana Serra for freight forwarding, right? The above is from their website (or, technically, from their parent company Arcese's website), saying that they (Ventana Serra) offer their customers (Cranio) "real-time tracing of shipments" (Barrage). You shouldn't need to know the name of the ship; they should have that as part of their own bookkeeping, and (according to the above) should be able to provide you status of your shipments via the portal mentioned there. It seems to me as though if they can track your shipments in real-time, providing you the name of the ship ought to be simple for them.

They appear to be an Italian company with multiple offices throughout Italy, so I would think that contacting them wouldn't be overly difficult, though obviously I could be wrong on that.
