Bruno Faidutti's web site says that Adam Spielt is going out of business, and looking at their front page letter (at least, the Babelfish translation of same) seems to confirm it.

I doubt I've ordered from Adam Spielt after the turn of the millennium, but my first real gaming order had a bunch of us students budling our money together and placing an order via International Phone Call. Before Rio Grande, before FunAgain & all the 'importing' stores that would deal with Europe, Adam Spielt was pretty much the place to go (along with Just Games in London).

I'm sorry to hear that they're going out of business.

Just Games went phut themselves a few years back. I live in the North of England but my work takes me to London on occasions. If time allowed, I would hop off the tube at Piccadilly Circus and walk through to Brewer Street to see what the latest in games was ... until one day it wasn't there any more.

Fortunately, Travelling Man in York (and nearby Leeds) holds a fairly decent stock of games, although (as they also do comics, RPGs, fantasy books, figures and t-shirts too) they're not quite in the same league as Just Games, who did ... just games.
