Hi Gang,

After an extended hiatus away from gaming my boy's interest is finally peaked. After a month-long monopoly marathon (in which he did quite well) we went and picked up Catan yesterday. We've played through two games already and he's on me to go get the expansion pack.

Next, to find one that speaks to my daughter's interests.

Happy days!

Carcassonne might do it. Super easy to match the tiles, and they can focus on creating before any focus on competitive scoring

Great to hear!
I just got done playing some crazy fun games of Lords of Vegas with my 7 and 10 yo boys. Just tons of laughing, cheering, and groans. 10 times more fun than any of their iPad games. Such a great feeling.

I would recommend Raccoon Tycoon. My kids love this also, and it's easier to grok than Lords of Vegas.

I’ve just heard about carcasone and Vegas and am definitely keen to give them both a try. Next I’m thinking gaming table build and game night with the neighborhood!
