This time we played a 2 player game with the Beggar bonus card. We played as outlined by the Kickstarter campaign. The Beggar comes into play when a single player has the lowest amount of money in their coffer at the end of the round. That player takes the Beggar. For the next round any time money comes from YOUR coffer and ends up in the coffer that the Beggar is located, the Beggar is transferred to the player giving the money. It is important to note that Gluttony does not ever take the Beggar because even if you move money, it turns into Food! The player that ends up with the Beggar at the end of the round gains an extra Victory Point!

It was so much fun trying to capture the Beggar once it entered play because the extra VP is very desirable. We only felt it was too difficult to bring into play and not worth the effort to do it on purpose in spite of your best interest. Therefore, we believe if you are going to play with the Beggar, you should just ALWAYS have it in play. Therefore, the person with the lowest money count gets the Beggar. If there is a tie, then the person with the lowest money and closest to the first player in clockwise order takes it.

The Beggar is really fun and we know you're going to love it.
