Sorry Robert, I have played on both and vastly prefer the MMP map - bigger. I think it looks far better in person, and much easier to use (not just because it is in English)...

But that's the map for Warriors of God.

Do you have dimensions?

As for the "laser beams" - any thoughts about have arrows that connect the two regions - perhaps in a more neutral colour? Or is it that importantin the game to have those bright red lines?

I rather like the map artwork that's being shown. If the final map looks just like that, I'll be happy.

The deep water could be blue-er, and the fortification symbols (I realize they aren't actual fortifications) look a little 16th century to me. But neither of those is a deal-breaker, and taste is a very subjective thing.

Also, as many times as I have seen the map dimensions in print, I didn't realize (until I got out a tape measure) just how large the map will be. The pictures tend to give it an 11" x 17" feel (to my eyes).

I see we're up to 479 now

I have to question the wisdom of using 18th-century Vauban-style fortresses as the icon to represent 12th-century cities.

I also think that whatever cachet one might get by repeatedly quoting Shakespeare gets rapidly pissed away when one invokes Mel Brooks. But that's a different category of problem.

Answer to the original question: not anymore - same tone and general style, but vastly improved detail, texture, and content.

Thanks for posting the final map art.

It looks very good, and the hand-drawn style fits the topic better than the flashy playtest version, IMO.
