Because we all know The End is Coming, and someone has to, so I did it: A new discussion thread for us locals, once the old one hits planned obsolescence.

I didn't want to use the very ordinary and boring "Thread #2" moniker, and my first thought of ending it with "Come Again" was right out due to the inevitable "That's what she said!" inference, blush laugh so I settled on "Encore!", because that's what we all want--for this wonderful place we've all created to live again! kiss kiss

Like the old thread, most of the discussions are simply about gaming in the Twin Cities area. Use this thread to chit chat, set up group orders, inform about sales/trades/etc, and also to arrange random "pick-up" gaming groups and gamer meetups. If you want the current topics head to the last few pages and browse around. To stay up-to-date be sure to subscribe and welcome to the thread!

If you're looking for a quick rundown of what is going on throughout the Twin Cities all during the year, conventions, regular open gaming locations and group meetups, special gaming events, and a whole lot of other information consolidated into one easy-to-read location, then check out the Twins Cities Events, Open Gaming, Etc. List.

If you want to post games for sale please visit the following geeklist and add an item. The most efficient method is to create a separate entry for you, and then post links to your sales items in that entry. Feel free to post about your sale in this thread, but please do not repeatedly post after making the initial announcement. Thanks!

Again, the best place for auctions, sales, kickstarter group buys, etc. is the Twin Cities Games for sale, notifications and kickstarter geeklist run by

Thanks, Diane!

Also, remember we can use the TC guild for discussions. That's a massively underutilized part of the site, but now that we have the quickbar, it's much easier to get to.

Wasn't the quickbar always an option?

IIRC, guilds are BGG's preferred ways to engender regional discussions in the future.

I know, but we also all know how well that's worked in practice, thus the existence and continued popularity of the original thread. So we'll try to continue that for a while and see how it goes. 25

I agree!

St Paul is the Capital, has a downtown you can actually find an exit from, and is generally more interesting.

Also it's the home of the Saints! They are one win away from claiming the championship.

The Saints won the championship on Saturday! That should be worth a few points there.
