Attention! These maps are unofficial! In case of conflict, the info from Merz Verlag is ALWAYS considered correct.

Hi all,

Regular visitors of this forum may already know the detailed maps I've created for several years now, like here:
Hall Plans for Essen Spiel 2016 - Finished!
Hall Plans for Essen Spiel 2017 - Detailed Maps
Hall Plans for Essen Spiel 2018 - Detailed Maps

And here are the maps for the SPIEL 2019! Enjoy!

A3 PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fekuofda2wcbLGKtSCqUXfflEpa...
A4 PDF: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bf0HPVMTv88FP8a7-vmqD1OQz2r...
Sortable Excel Sheet with booths: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16PIHb25y0iTtiZhhbsVUjI3Y5ts...

Click here if font comes out distorted when printing the PDFs.

Disclaimer: These maps are based on the official info from Merz-Verlag, but they are to be considered unofficial. Do not refer to them in case of an emergency. In case of conflict, the Info from Merz Verlag is correct.

Notes:
- Due to the rebuild of the Messe Essen, some facilities (WC, snacks, emergency exits, ...) may or may not be correctly pictured. Please refer to the official maps for those and keep my disclaimer in mind.
- When printing the PDF version, select "Shrink to printer margins" or similar, to avoid text being cut off.
- The A4 version will follow in a few days' time, after any necessary corrections have been signaled to me. So will the sortable Excel sheet with the booths and publishers.
- Some booths in halls 5 and 6 have been added later by Merz Verlag, but no new maps have been issued. I have guessed these booths' approximate location and marked them with purple background. The legend shows them under "Unknown location".
- The Excel sheet most probably contains errors. I had to screenshot and OCR the list, as the official guide did not allow copy-pasting yuk. I corrected most of them, but I missed some for sure.

Huge thanks to everyone for their encouragements, kind words, and thank yous.

In the past, some of you have requested a PayPal link. That is incredibly generous of you and I thank you for that. The link is https://paypal.me/DukeOfEarlLux. I will not keep the money for myself; I will donate it to the Balu und Du charity that is taking place at the fair. Be assured, you are in no way required to pay anything; seeing you guys walk around the fair with my map in hand is reward enough.

However, this year, I do have one small request:

Some years ago, fellow geek Jenkachu created a very useful Geeklist with pictures of the top 500 games with all their components laid out. I have picked up the mantle for this project and have created an updated Geeklist for that same purpose, and I also took many component pictures myself. However, the list was quickly "buried" by newer lists, before it got enough thumbs to be really noticeable (right now it sits at 110 thumbs). I don't mind the thumbs, it's just that the way BGG operates, the list won't be visible to many users. And that would be a shame, since I spent a lot of time on it.

So, if I may, could I please encourage you to send a quick thumbsup to the following Geeklist: A Labor of Love - Component Pictures of the Top 500 Games [IMAGE HEAVY]
That way, the list will be more visible and thus more useful to other people.

Thank you!

(Unless you find the list is not useful. In that case, you may eschew the thumbing. )

As a reminder for those who missed the info:

- There is now a ticket office at the east entrance (near the Messe Ost subway station), where you can buy a ticket. You can enter the fair there via halls 8 and 7 to reach hall 6. There's also a large cloakroom (Garderobe) area there.

- The West entrance (which leads to hall 3) has no ticket booths! Entry only for those with a pre-purchased ticket!

- The South entrance (which leads to hall 1) has a few ticket booths.

- The math trades take place in hall 7.

Thanks for the great maps!

The Dice Tower will also be present at booth D130 in Hall 2 with Rathskellers - is it worth adding that?

@SteveGUK: I'll add them to the update in a few days.

@csukisz: Thanks for the info, I'll remove them for the update.

Regarding A3/A4: Since most people use the A4 version,a ccording to my poll in the previous thread, I'll use that as a base for next year. You can still print two A4 pages on one A3 (or one A4) page, if you so like, as most printer drivers support that.

You can also load the PDF onto your smartphone and use the search function to find a particular booth.

Well, I've also printed A3 on A4. Not sure if it matters.

Alain: a few things I spotted:

Hall 4 has none of the "G" booths listed. 4G105 = Runes Éditions.

Booth 6N012 = also Game Toppers (Burky)

Booth 2F121 = the Crowdfunding Agency.

1) Oops! Yep, I borked group 3 big time. Will be corrected in the update.

2) Game Toppers was in the late registration list. I'll add all of those in the update.

3) I haven't seen any official mention there, but I can add them.

I'll post the update and A4 version on Friday, most probably, Sunday at the latest (evening UTC).

I have also seen now that the hall 6 map is rather messed up. That happened when I combined the maps for 4 and 6 on one page.

I'm sorry about that and will correct it on Friday.
