I'm surprised this subject wasn't broached in the original Junta game. This thread is to discuss using these as optional cards and interpreting their use.
Here are some Drug War cards to add together to a Junta game:
Event Card. Graphic is a of a wrapped, brown paper package.
If played by the Air Force Commander, the Air Force Commander can take the top money card from the deck.
May be played by anyone. During the turn that Drug War has been played, the Drug Traffickers Influence Card has no effect (for one turn only). Also, the Air Strikes can not be used during the turn of a Drug War as they are used for spraying the fields.
Influence card with 5 votes. The graphic is of a man in a suit and dark sun glasses, holding a briefcase in one hand and a gun in the other.
Is canceled only for one turn if Drug War card is played.
The holder of the Drug Traffickers card can't be the target of the Drug Thug Assassin. Drug Traffickers can also be played from your hand to take control of the Drug Thug Assassin card before the Drug Thug's assassination is resolved. You keep the Drug Traffickers card as a face up Influence Card as normal thereafter. If already in play, the Drug Traffickers can not take control of the Drug Thug but cannot be the target of the Drug Thug.
Drug Thug Assassin
May not be used against a player with the Drug Trafficker Influence Card. May be taken control of by a player playing the Drug Trafficker Influence card.
