Personnaly I still have no shelf nor commited gamers for it.

There are certainly deals every now and then for a bit cheaper, and it makes a great solo game. If you have no space on the shelf for it, the box is big enough to make a good foot stool!

I am planning to play it solo. It will remove, probably the only negative, about this game - long setup/tear down. I dont mind these

I don't have commited players either, I was planning to buy it to play it solo, but having to play with at least 2 characters makes me rethink about buying it...

Properly organised, and I don't necessarily mean with a £50 insert, will help speed this up and make it less of a chore. I also enjoy looking through everything to set up, it gives me a feeling of appreciation of how much content there is and that it was worth what I paid for it!

I play solo a lot of the time but run three characters, started off with two then added a third. You just need to get yourself organised a bit on the layout of your table and you soon get into swing of running multiple characters.

Can you recommend a storage solution? I've seen a couple on here using Plano type boxes but although cheaper than an proper storage option, they aren't perfect. I bought Gloomhaven last year but still haven't attempted to start punching out the tokens until I get around to sorting a storage solution.

I got it for Christmas and I'm finding just putting everything in plastic bags is working out just fine.

This thread was useful: Storing everything with just bags

But leave the hp/xp trackers where they are in the foam. And don't put the scenario book at the same level as the board...just fill that whole space with tokens, and then put rulesbook, scenario book and stickers on top. It all fits in the box nicely.

When I'm putting it away, or at some point before the next game, I find all the scenery and enemy tokens for the next game and put them in a bigger plastic bag. Then I find the enemy cards and trackers and put them on top or at the front of their respective piles so their easy to find. Set up takes 10 mins.
