So, here's what I need:

Gateway: They probably haven't played any serious board games before, probably just the usual fare and some traditional card games, but I'm not sure.

2+ players: The idea is to get them someting they can play with each other, and with their dad (and/or whoever).

I'm thinking a Light to Medium Euro, something accessable, with some randomness to even out skil levels, but with enough depth to hold their attention.
They play computer games, so nice art and good-looking bits are a plus.

Damn, I just described Ticket To Ride, didn't I?
Or did I? Is TtR the answer, or would something else be good?

I would recommend Clans or Carcassonne. They both would be a good fit for your cousins.

Or try Bohnanza.

Pickomino would be my suggestion, although Bohnanza, as mentioned, would also be a good. A good dexterity game might also be in order, in which case I'd probably say Jungle Speed

Blue Moon City would be a great choice, and it has some of the best art in any game I've seen.

I'd recommend Carcassonne, TransAmerica/Trans Europa, Galaxy Trucker or so.

Other ideas I discarded, as they're no good at 2 players: Catan, Citadels, Bohnanza, BANG!, Activity 2, Clue, Scotland Yard.

Those, I discarded, as they're only 2 players: Catan Card Game, Pacific 1942 Admiral.

Just a quick list of ideas in no certain order.

Edit: Came accidentaly upon one other.

Yes, you did.

TTR sounds perfect. I got it for my nephew, about the same age, he and his family have played it a lot; I've also gotten him Nexus Ops, and he got Heroscape himself, but I hear that the one that gets the most "whole family" plays is TTR.

Consider GUBS: A Game of Wit and Luck - ok, so, maybe its my game, but it fits what you're asking for perfectly.

Only 2 players, but the kids (9-12 years old) play it over and over.
Lord of the Rings: The Confrontation or

Robin, are your cousins 2 boys or 2 girls or one of each?

AB

For what its worth I'd second the suggestion for Nexus Ops so far

One boy, one girl, girl's 1-2 years younger.
Anything combat oriented might turn her off (unfortunately), as might anything with a large focus on screwage, and a dexterity game might turn into a "toy".

I'm worried that Carc might be too weird for them, and slow, and too-subtle interactions, they might not "get" how putting a bunch of tiles on the table is fun.
