What does it mean exactly in special victory conditions of TASSADAR that he has to control more areas then anyone alse? Does he count all the areas where he has a base or a unit and adds to this number all the Resource Cards he controls? Or he only counts those areas with his bases and units on?

count every area where he has a Unit or a Base...wins (in Stage III) if he has MORE areas "controlled" than any other player!

One thing about Tassadar's special victory condition: if you take an enemy controlled area instead of grabbing an empty area; that's a two-point swing.

Because instead of merely gaining an area, you've made the enemy lose one as well.

Meaning if you have one more area than your opponent and you empty out one of your areas to take one enemy area, you still come out one area ahead. And if instead, you didn't leave any of your areas empty, then you now come out two areas ahead.

So for the new players out there: it's important to remember that as Tassadar, you don't have to control more than half of the total areas in a 2-player game. You merely need to control more than your opponent. (which means, if he doesn't have a unit or base there, then that's one more area-count that you don't have to overtake)

This re-post might be useful.

Players control areas where they have units or bases.
Having a resource card for the area does not necessarily mean you control it (you don't if the area is empty).
The same applies to other faction's special abilities that are defined by "control" of specific areas.

Well then the second player should hurry up getting victory points
He may also manipulate the session's game speed by causing conditions which lead to less event card drawing so that the third stage will be achieved later.
