Does anyone know where I can find those clear plastic covers for war game maps to keep them flat?

Take a trip to your local Lowes or Home Depot. Sheets of 1/8 or 3/16 plexiglass will do the trick.

I picked up 3 24x36 inch sheets of plexi from Hobby Lobby for $5 when they were on sale about 6 months ago.

home depot sells them in precut sheets of like 3'x2'...perfect size for the standard 34"x22" wargame map.

and for those in the UK...

Ikea do large poster frames with acrylic sheet - last time I purchased about 2 months ago were £2.99

I picked up three different sized Poster frames on the cheap at Joann Frabics.

The great thing about poster frames is that you can hang your maps on the wall in between gaming sessions; which incidentally, looks pretty darned cool...

I purchased them in my local store, but here's a link to what I'm talking about:
