it says in the rule book that when you run out of scouts that you can take them off the jungle paths. what happens to the gaps in the path? do all the other scouts move up? or are the gaps left free to fill in by the next available scout?
any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Re:scouting for scouts
alldougout (#55294),

After reading the rules, I had the same question. After searching some rec.games.board posts, I found how others play it (but nothing official from the designer). The suggested method is to allow scouts to be taken from any position on the path leaving a gap. The gap could then be filled by another player's scout (and thus potentially giving that player a scout closer to the hut). Refilling an eye space allows that player to look at the token in the hut. Refilling the dot space would not result in drawing a new chit for the hut.
