Attacktix is an extremely fun tabletop game involving small plastic figures slashing or shooting projectiles at high velocity. If that sounds like a good time to you, read on...

The basic Attacktix starter set (Series 3) comes with four standard figures including Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker as well as a random mystery figure. It's nice that they include major characters in the starter because, admit it, who doesn't want to be Darth Vader for a while. You will probably want to pick up a few Attacktix boosters in order to add variety to your games. Each booster contains random figures, so you never know what you are going to get.

Gameplay is simple, each player builds an squad of figures using a pre-determined point limit (maybe 150 points). You then set up your figures on one side of the table while your opponent does the same on the other side of the table. The starting player then moves all of his figures a number of "clicks" equal to that figure's speed. On the bottom of each figure's base, there is a wheel which clicks as the figure is moved across the table. This is a great feature because it allows you to play on any table and not on some special map.

After moving his figures, the start player can then attack with two of his figures. Most figures either fire a missile of some type or swing a lightsaber (by twisting the figure). Just a note of warning, the missiles shoot very well, so be sure not to hit the other player in the eye!

If a figure is ever knocked down, they are removed from the game. However, each figure has a small window on the bottom of the base. If the window is white when that figure is defeated it triggers a special effect (which is written on the figure's base). This adds a little suspense each time you defeat a figure.

Players take turns until all of one player's figures have been defeated.

All in all, the game is great. It's easy to play and tons of fun for kids and adults.
