This post is of no importance whatsoever.

I currently have about 20GG banked. Should I save for the Geek Badge or wait until I have 5 microbadges first?

It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. And we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

You know, they say there was a man who jumped from the forty-FIFTH floor? But that's another story...

...and buy one of those. It's the only reasonable thing to do!

I'm completely unbiased, of course.

My heart's on the fence with no sign of wavering, and the force is weak with this one.

I went with the Geek Badge. I figure after 3 more Christmases, I'll have the full compliment of microbadges.

Geekbadges are cool cuz you can make them and change them and stuff. Microbadges are cool because you can like get different ones all the time and change them around and reorder them and stuff. They are both pretty good and its pretty much 50-50 and a half dozen of the other and that's imo.

I think I decided on the badge. My avatar will have to see what happens.

I've gone for option C though--handed it off to the fiancee so she can get herself an avatar of her own.

The timing of your question resonates with me as I got to 50GG yesterday and had to make such a choice: Of course having 50 rather than 20 does give one a bit of a steer

I went with the geekbadge (as you can plainly see) rather than a fifth micro, mainly because I like the element of self design that goes with it as noted in a previous reply.

But.................its up to you; certainly if you are as creative with your geekbadge as you have been with your avatar I will look forward to seeing it when you hit the magic 50

At the end of the day geek or micro, all badges are GOOD

good luck

Thanks for the advice. You're right, it's the design element that is looking to win out, especially since I'm 1 review from a copper review microbadge anyway.

One last quick question... what is the font people use in geekbadges like yours?
