Hey You All

I need help with a name of a unique chess board and who else but us GEEKS could give me the answer??

It is a chess style game, played on a reduced board, the board has a lot less squares than normal chess board. Maybe 5X5 or 6X6, (maybe less maybe more).

I think it plays with only 3 types of pieces Bishop, Knight, King ? but I may be wrong there also. There may be only 2 types of pieces or different ones (see why I need help ) I do know one of the types of pieces is a knight (see I know something )

The game is supposed to help teach some of the movements in chess and help a beginner or young-in the kind of flow and what to expect with chess, but with out so much to consider at one time, nor the length of time, or having to figure so much out at one time.

I think my young daughter would like it and it will get her going on towards full chess

THANK YOU in advance for your helpful relies, heck thanks for your replies even if they aren't helpful. It is still further ahead than what I have been able find out or locate.

Have a great weekend Greg

Thanks for the Picture it helps, I can say the number of squares is definitely less than this game. And that it has no pawns.
Also I am now thinking it is a 4 square X 4 square board
But this looks like an interesting game.

Thanks for trying!

Tic Tac Chec?

It looks like something my son would enjoy, too.

HMMMMMmmmm

I do not believe this is it, but it is very close, it is triggering my memory more. I think the one I was looking had only a bishop and a knight (I do not know much about chess but as these things come up more I start to recall and make sense of what I saw) And you start the game with all the pieces on the board.

I think it is very very close except for the pawn.

If I can't get the one I am thinking of this will be my next choice. I also believe it would be a good starter for my young kids.

Great job!! Thanks for the effort Kat!

Nice site, been all over it for a half hour now.

For a Chess person this would be awesome I bookmarked it to.

Still not finding it, but gave me some good Google ideas.

Thanks again Cameron.

OOOOOOO Pokey (Scott)that is sooooo close.

It is a thing between ChessQuito and Tic Tac Chec, I am positive about the board size being 4x4.

ChessQuito might be a possible substitute.

Thanks Scott (Pokey to the third power)
