I'm surprised. I can't find a games library in New York !!!
In France, they are about 1500. Can you help me ?
I research a place where there's many board games for all ages, where we can play and where we can borrow games.
Many thanks.

I don't live in New York, so i cannot help you. I just wanted to say that I have never heard of a game library and think it would be a great thing to have.

I can see why you want to find one! Good luck!

I knew game libraries were a European thing - I'm delighted to hear the Canadians have them too.
Kind of makes up for poutine ...

Played around with google for 20 min. Only things I could find were video game libraries. Sad. There used to be a games section in the SJAFB base library here back in the late 80s, but it was discontinued due to lack of interest.

I have not seen a board game library in the US either, but you can probably find a gaming group. The members of the group will let you use their games at the group meetings. And you may be able to borrow games from friends you make in the local group.

My local gaming group has a large library from which members can check out games, and it's great! It's not public and it's not in New York, but it works for me. Those who go to Origins would recognize it as the Board Room and War Room library.

Sounds like a great idea.

Come on, poutine is great! Almost as addictive as boardgames.

That's the problem. I always get some whenever I visit Canada and then regret it afterwards ...
