I have recently said some things about pirates on BGG that offended some pirate lovers. Now I would like to make amends by explaining why pirates are cooler than ninjas.

Pirates can do drive-bys with cannons. Enough said.

In the time it takes to maneuver a galleon into position for a broadside, a single ninja can assassinate 1,972 pirates. And that's just with a blowgun.

NOTE: I don't really like ninjas, either. Now robots--that's where it's at. Robots can impersonate both pirates and ninjas (and often do) in addition to surviving in the hard vacuum of deep space.

robot > arrrh x ninja

So can ninjas. You just never see them.

Monkeys > robot> arrrh + ninja

How is this Sex/Religion/Politics? Was there some ninja sex going on that I missed? It's hard to see ninja sex; they're so stealthy.

Stealthy ninja sex is rumored to have started at least one religion.

Like, OMG who uses a galleon anymore? These pirates are loading up in the back of their pimped out g-cruiser and bustin caps with cannons.

Okay, let's sex it up then:

I am sorry, but I think plain any kung-fu chick will win out there against whatever there is on the pirates side.

Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, House of the Flying Daggers), Michelle Yeoh (too many to mention), Maggie Q (Balls of Fury, Die Hard 4.0), Youki Kudoh (Rush Hour 3) and that's not even mentioning a fraction of the very enticing female kong fu killers out there.

What we got on the pirate side? Kate Moss in Pirates of the Carribian. Nice, but still not enough, sorry.
