Boardgame Babylon will be performing a series of game demonstrations at Orccon 2008 over the President's Day Weekend in Los Angeles. Come out and learn these great games from top publishers like Z-Man, Asmodee and Rio Grande. Here is our demo schedule for Saturday, February 16th.

9 AM

Chateau Roquefort - Also known as Burg Appenzell, this gorgeous new game from RGG and Zoch is an amusing cheese-gathering game in a maze-like castle. Approximately 30 minutes.

Pandemic - Pandemic is a cooperative game where four diseases have broken out in the world and it is up to the players (each a specialist in a particular field) to find cures for these diseases before mankind is wiped out. About an hour.

10 AM

In the Year of the Dragon - The latest Alea Big Box title from Stefan Feld, the designer of Notre Dame and Roma. Just over an hour.

Oregon - Oregon is a family/strategy game with a colonization-theme and a card-driven placement mechanism. About forty-five minutes.

11 AM

Gumball Rally - It's a long distance go-kart race for the coveted Gumball Cup! A very fast, fun game for the whole family - up to 8 players! About twenty minutes.

Prophecy - An adventure game by the Czech game designer Vladimír Chvátil. The players represent fantasy characters on their route through the land full of adventure with a goal of grabbing ancient artifacts. An hour long abbreviated version of the game will be shown.

12:00 PM

Utopia - Get a look at this beatiful new city building game from the designers of Khronos. About an hour.

1960: Making of a President - Play as Kennedy or Nixon in one of the closest elections in history. Decide to focus on the issues or attack the support your opponent builds up in various states. An abbreviated version of the game will be played that will last about an hour.

1:00 PM

Pick N Pack - Designer Simon Hunt's follow-up to Take Stock is a fun two-player game of packing apples more efficiently than your opponent using the same crane. About twenty minutes.

Age of Gods - Players are gods trying to make their chosen tribes conquer the land. The twist is that the players don't know which tribes are theirs right away - this information is revealed as the game progresses. A short version of the game will be played for about an hour.

2:00 PM

Darjeeling - In Darjeeling, players gather sets of tea boxes and try to deliver them at the optimal time. About an hour.

3:00 PM

Good Question! - Come try out this fun party game of asking and answering questions! Two sessions that take about thirty minutes.

That's great to hear. I'll be there with some friends. I really hope they show off the Prophecy expansions finally. I really am looking forward to them.

I'm also interested in Age of Gods and Pandemic.

Alas, we'll just be showing the main Prophecy game.

Also, there is now an Agricola demo scheduled for 1 PM on Sunday. Come learn the hottest game to hit BGG since Caylus.
