Just a quick question....

When the Australian CL Perth uses Ops movement does it go to the Brit home base at the end of its turn? (Not it's own sunny shores) blush

I know the answer is probably yes but I'm asking anyway.

Thanks

Probably worse for your pride...it goes to the west coast...the US is its home base.

Adam wasn't joking. "Home base" isn't really where a ship returns to, it's where its supplies come from. To be usable, it needs fuel, etc. The Aussies really should use the USA as a home base. The Aussies have a beef that their navy is being underrated though. Australia and Canberra were respectable heavy cruisers. The Australian unit should be a CA, not a CL.

Surely the Ozzie ships would have been repaired in Oz?

I like this game, but its level of abstraction treats the Dutch and Australians poorly. The Australians did most of the ground fighting--and dying--in New Guinea, but they are represented by one 2sp regiment. If the Japanese make a go for Port Moresby, it will take an American army to chase them out of New Guinea.

Such is history in an historical wargame.
