Subject: why are images in the profile so wide? rss

Here is a question that has always bugged me. If a user puts an image in their profile, this image pushes the column to the max width.

Here is an example from my own profile,



Notice the dotted lines? This indicates the width of the picture. Also notice that the image is not really this wide

So the question is, why does this happen? I find it annoying that is screws up the column widths (also seen in the picture above).

It's kind of a generic fix that stops huge ass pictures from being posted into forums - it puts an overflow around it. Unfortunately it cuts both ways and does the same for tiny images.

If anyone has the mojo to fix this - I'm all ears.

What about relative width instead of absolute?

width: 100%

I think this would make the width of the div tag 100% of its container (i.e., profile_block).
