Hi all, well thanks to Pasco, WA's RADCON I was able to actually attend my very first gaming convention - YIKESIES!, and thanks to some fellow gamers I got to hand out "flip cams" so lots of the footage obtained is from local gamers!

Watch the RADCON podcast!

http://bsbh.kvewtv.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=vie...
scroll upwards to find the RADCON piece in the category

this link can be iffy at times, you can also view the piece by:

visiting
www.kvewtv.com

third column from the left you will see the "Be Seen Be Heard" category with a thumbnail titled RADCON.

or in the margin there is a category also called "Be Seen Be Heard" with a menu list - click on GAMER GEEK and the radcon vid is in that category!

Let me know what you think! And send me footage of your OWN GAME CON! Did you notice my new AVATAR? Im an official board game geek!

Are you referring to the flood of geekmail from nerds?

The video quality has suffered some since the last time I checked. Looks like it's now using Flash rather than Quicktime. Otherwise I thought the random bellydancer bit in the middle was kinda funny.

RadCon - I attended one about, oh, 10 years ago. I'd call it more of a SciFi Con that has a lot of gaming, rather than a Gaming Convention - not that it's a bad thing (assuming you enjoy SciFi Cons).

You'll need it to beat away gamey gamer girls. They can smell normalcy with unbelievable efficiency. They'll think that you can give them tips on how to land so & so hunky dude from such & such SciFi channel original movie.

I went to a Klingon convention once. Much more dangerous than gaming conventions.

"You will see a lot of, uh, interesting people." is translated from geekspeak to English as "You will see a lot of people geekier than me!"

The belly dancers were a nice touch! Great job Amy!

Mace and restraining orders might work better.
