Re:Multiple dockings and attacking docked ships
We use a modified version of Come About. We only lose one move segment, rather than the entire move, so fast ships (S+S, S+L, etc.) can choose to burn the S move to come about.
We also allow only a max of 90 degree turn for each move segment, so anything over 90 degrees burns a move segment.
I agree with the other poster regarding wild islands: no limit (other than physical space) and free to be attacked and return fire.
Actually, docking on a "corner" of a wild island with gold is a good tactic. The island shields you from fire, if you do not have a shot to take you can dig up gold (we only allow 1 treasure to be loaded per turn -- 2 with an explorer), and being on the "corner" means you can get moving without having to come about.
