Wreckers don't call for backup, they call for cleanup!

The hunters received reports that Dracula had returned and had left his castle a while ago. So they set out from England to try and hunt him down - for good.

They started their search spread out all across Europe, with Lord Godalming in Paris, Dr. Seward in Budapest, Van Helsing in Madrid and Mina Harker in Rome.

Being in constant contact with each other via letters or telegraphs, the hunters began a coordinated search that paid off pretty soon. A newspaper article tipped the hunters off to the fact that Dracula had been in Hamburg not too long ago (actually, this was the last location in a trail that was only three cards long!). Knowing that the trail would soon grow cold, the hunters started to converge upon Germany from all directions.

Dracula still being on the move, Dr. Seward made a wild guess an contacted a couple of friends in Leipzig and Berlin and was delighted to hear that Dracula had indeed passed through Berlin. (By now, the last two locations in a trail of four cards had been revealed and night had just fallen.)

Working from the knowledge he received from Dr. Seward, Van Helsing also contacted a few trusted allies in Prague and Vienna, not only confirming that Dracula had passed through Prague, but pinpointing his current location, too! He also received a note saying that Dracula had created a new vampire in Vienna, which only fanned his righteous fury that much more. With his friends and fellow hunters in Hamburg, Milan and Bucharest, Van Helsing rode all the way from Paris to Nuremburg with barely a break to try and head off his nemesis.

Travelling further, Van Helsing arrived in Munich shortly after midnight, only to be attacked by a minion of Dracula! He managed to drive the madman of, but not before being severely wounded - and at that point Dracula himself attacked!

Hefting his trusty stake, Van Helsing trusted in his abilities and the handful of fresh garlic he carried to see him through this, and while he managed to wound the vampire, the count proved to be too strong and overpowered him. (Van Helsing reduced Dracula to 10 Life before he got clawed into unconsciousness.)

Dracula decided to stay in Munich and feed on an innocent victim, confident in his superiority (as it was still only early morning, one hunter had to miss a turn and two others were still too far away to get to him this turn).

While Lord Godalming traveled to Nuremburg to block a possible escape route and Dr. Seward returned in Budapest to plan to either travel to both Zagreb and Vienna next, Mina decided that discretion was the better part of valor and remained in Milan, not daring to confront Dracula while he was still so powerful. (By now, Dracula realised he had made a mistake by staying in Munich - he'd been boxed in with the hunters covering every possible escape route and dawn approaching...)

Dracula fled Munich, but was hunted down by Lord Godalming in Strasbourg at the break of dawn. Dracula sacrificed one of his minions to try to escape the Lord (whom Godalming dispatched in a single round of combat), but before he could do so, Lord Godalming managed to wing him with a consacrated bullet (taking him down to 9 Life) and then put a stake through his heart (twice, actually - reducing him to 5 and then 0 Life, respectively).

And thus ended the unholy existence of the most powerful vampire in history.
