Listed below is an executive summary of the rules, You do not have to read the complete Official Rules, but are required to comply with all rules whether you have read them or not.

Overall Guidance/Theme: Many MTs have a "shopping at the ZippyMart" vibe. Users run in, (scan the OLWLG colored tags), grab a gallon of their favorite brand of milk and bolt. This MT may have more of a "shopping at a bazaar" vibe. Participants are encouraged to provide some color commentary with their offers and add comments which may help other participants to uncover a hidden gem (however, this does not, in any way, invalidate the mandatory requirement to provide accurate data in the descriptions). And, in fact, the descriptions are even more important in this MT, becuase unlike some MTs, this MT will be more old-school and require participants to actually read the full text of offers posted and not just look at the pretty picture(s) associated with the offers or the colorful tags inside the Online Want List Generator (OLWLG). The pictures and tags are a great place to start, but each participant will be responsible for ensuring that they make their decisions on what to put on their Want List based on the actual description text in the offer. If this level of personal accountability is not acceptable to you, please do not enter this particular MT, but rather wait for the next one that may not require as much personal accountability. At the end of the day, all these MT's are based on trust. We have rules to make the MT more efficient, but the rules are not perfect and do not always cover every situation. We trust each other to do the right thing in situations where the rules are ambiguous. Please do not violate this trust.

Executive Summary:
d10-1 You MUST use a CONUS (sorry AK & HI) shipping address.
d10-2 Sender must pay the FULL shipping costs including delivery confirmation or tracking number (minus any insurance costs which are responsibility of receiver but only if the receiver chooses to have package insured).
d10-3 This is a private MT. By invitation only. Everybody with a CONUS shipping address is invited except anybody that has broken a chain in a previous MT or been reported as a Bad Trader. See the escrow policy in the full rules for Bad Traders who are trying to redeeem themselves.
d10-4 Participants are allowed to post an unlimited number of offers of Gift Cards (GC). However, minimum amount per GC must be at least $20.
d10-5 Each participant is requested to tip one GeekGold per entry that they are offering on the Offer GeekList. Obviously, this action is totally voluntary. But I hope that you will comply with this request. Remember that all tipped will be disbursed to promote the success of the MT.
d10-6 Do not substitute, split, change, downgrade, denigrate, or degrade an offered main item or any sweeteners once they are posted (see rules for how to handle changes).
d10-7 Board games, Card games, DVDs, Books, Comics, PC/Video Games, RPGs, and most other geeky stuff allowed.
d10-8 For any PC/video games offered, you MUST provide at least the following details: Platform/OpSys, Registration status, Media type, and whether a box and manual are included.
d10-9 You must use the OLWLG.
d10-0 Participants are limited to one (1) entry that is an offer of . And minimum offered must be at least 250 GG. (You may use the OLWLG Copies function though).
d10-0 d10-0 GG and GC arbitrage are prohibited.

2. MVP Bounty: Of the total tipped, I am going to give 1/3 to the MT participant who traded the single most wanted item.
3. ToolTime Bounty: Of the total tipped, I am going to split 1/3 between [userid=cokasaki] and [userid=JeffyJeff].
4. Super-Dee-Duper Bonus Bounty: I will give a code or enough GG to purchase a microbadge to every single participant that offers AND subsequently trades at least one game that is rated #1 on my Wishlist.
5. Last Chance Bounty: I'm going to give away one of my items offered in this MT that does not trade to somebody that added it to their Want List.
6. Hidden Gem Offer Bounty: The offer that had the most interesting color commentary and whose color commentary was the most likely to induce other participants to consider reading the blurb, researching the item described, and adding the item to Want Lists will be awarded a code or enough to buy a microbadge).

Post-Valentines Quickie MT-Rules: The Gory Details
Here are the detailed rules. You do not have to read the complete Official Rules, but are required to comply with all rules whether you have read them or not.

If you have no idea what a Math Trade is: It's a way to trade a whole bunch of games by chaining together everybody's available games and matching them to what each person wants. A computer algorithm ensures fairness and removes risk: you can only get a game you prefer over what you are offering. (Otherwise, you just keep your original game.) For more info, see Math Trades.

Incentive Bounties: Frequently, tips are given to the people that moderate Math Trades. If this MT accumulates any tips, 100% of such tips will be awarded to others. See below for full details.
1. Delivering the Goods Bounty: Of the total tipped, I am going to give 1/3 to the MT participant that traded the most items that were actually requested on the Request List.
7. Don't Tell My Spouse Bounty: The person that offers AND subsequently trades the highest total amount of Gift Cards will receive a code or enough to buy a microbadge.

Who:
This will be a CONUS-only private MT by invitation only. Everybody is invited except anybody that has ever broken a chain in a previous MT or has been reported as a Bad Trader. See the escrow policy below for Bad Traders who are trying to redeem themselves. (Technically you do not have to live in CONUS, but must be able to receive shipments to a CONUS address (I do know that there are some folks that live outside the US but travel to the US for work and/or can use a CONUS address to receive packages)). The following additional restrictions apply:
1 Literacy Matters: You must be literate and able to read at the 5th grade level or above and you must agree to read the full text of offers posted and not just look at the pretty picture(s) associated with the offers or the colorful tags inside the Online Want List Generator (OLWLG). The pictures and tags are a great place to start, but there will be no sympathy for you if a description is clearly written but you make a mistake because you did not pay attention to the description.
If this level of personal accountability is not acceptable to you, please do not enter this particular MT, but rather wait for the next one that may not require as much personal accountability.
2 You must subscribe to the Rules Thread or you are prohibited. And you must commit to check your email/geekmail, the OLWLG, and the MT Rules Thread at least daily after you offer at least one item for trade. Otherwise, you are prohibited.
3 If you have been reported as a bad trader, then you are prohibited unless you comply with the Bad Trader Redemption Plan (see below).
4 By posting an item in this math trade, you agree to abide by the rules specific to this particular MT and you agree to honor your commitments regardless of whether or not you feel you made an error to your detriment.
5 If you have never shipped any games as a result of previous MTs (i.e. newbie), you are restricted to posting no more than two (2) offers to this MT. It is also advised that you only post offers of smaller items. (And be careful if you plan to use Duplicate Protection or the Copies option).
6 You MUST use a CONUS (sorry AK & HI) shipping address to participate in this MT.

How:

Request Geeklist: In addition to the main Offer Geeklist, there is a secondary (totally optional) Request Geeklist where you can ask for things that you would like other people to offer. You do not have to enter anything on the Request Geeklist to participate in this trade. Even if you request an item on the Request Geeklist, you are still not obligated to add that item to your Want List (but why would you request it if you do not want it?). You may not post offers to the Offer GeekList for items that you have listed on the Request GeekList.

Offer Posting Instructions:
>1> When you post an offer for an item (with or without sweeteners) do not substitute, split, change, downgrade, denigrate, degrade, or delete an offered main item or any sweeteners once they are posted (see below for how to handle changes/withdraw items).
>2> In addition to any (optional) color commentary, you must provide accurate details on condition (box and components), language, edition/publisher, and any other important pertinent data for every offered item (including sweeteners). (Feel free to use this Offer Template). This requirement is basically the same for all MTs. However, this MT may differ from most because, for this MT, everyone is required to actually read the descriptions and base decisions on the text in the descriptions (literacy matters).
>3> If there is ever any ambiguity or inconsistency between the text in the description and anything else associated with the offer, (picture, altname, OLWLG colors, etc., etc., etc.), the text will be considered to be controlling. So triple check to make sure that your text is accurate when you post an offer. You will be required to deliver what you described even if it is to your detriment. If your description is incomplete or inaccurate, you will be required to deliver what the receiver is expecting even if it is to your detriment. While literacy matters, you may not use your description to negate the MT rules (i.e. you may not use descriptive text to negate the rule requiring the offerer to cover the full cost to ship to CONUS).
>4> For any PC/video games offered, in addition to any (optional) color commentary and details on condition (box and components), language, and edition/publisher, you MUST also provide at least the following additional details: Platform/OpSys, Registration status, Media type, and whether a box and manual are included.
>5> For games not in shrink you must inventory the game's components and ensure that the game is complete. Do not assume it's complete even if you got it in a previous MT.
>6> For any game/item offered that is not complete, you are required to remove ALL ambiguity, with your description, as to what you are offering. You must include a comment at the top of your listing that explicitly states that your game is INCOMPLETE. Use the size tag. Use bolding. You must specify exactly what is included in the offer. Make sure your description is accurate. If you know that a missing part is material to game play, explicitly state that. If you have substituted parts for the original missing parts, provide details. You should also make every effort to explicitly list what is not included in the offer (aka the parts that are missing). If you are offering a game/item that is < 50% complete, then list the item as Outside the Scope of BGG and call it Parts rather than listing it under the game title.
>7> While commentary in the offer is welcome, please do NOT insert BGG game links or [THING] / [GAMEID] tags to other games in your entry unless you are actually including the additional game as part of your multiple-item offer because they are displayed in a misleading manner by the OLWLG. However, pictures/images are OK as they do not cause this problem in the OLWLG. And Tinyurl links are also not a problem for OLWLG. Always use language in your offer description that accurately describes what you are offering.
>8> While the description text is key, you must choose the most appropriate picture to accompany your offer. Assume that nobody else (except you) in the MT can read and will be relying on your picture.
>9> Each participant is requested to tip one GeekGold for each entry that they post on the Offer GeekList. Obviously, this action is totally voluntary. But I hope that you will comply with this request. Remember that all GG tipped will be disbursed to promote the success of the MT.
>10> Use of the phrase "as pictured" in your offer description is strictly prohibited. Use of this phrase has caused more problems in math trades than anything else.
>11>It has been a long time since I remember any kind of pre-order situation being a... well... situation. However, with all the KickStarter activity in the last year on BGG, I need to ask everyone making an offer mentioning a KickStarter to explicitly state whether your offer is for merchandise/material that is already in your hands. This is especially important if you reference some kind of pre-order level. (I understand that you may just be providing the reference so people can go look it up to see exactly what was included, but it might be unclear to some).

MT Want List Submission Instructions:
-1- The OLWLG is required. (please remember to tip JeffyJeff some GG for his support).
-2- GC and arbitrage (see below) are prohibited. The moderator reserves the right to nullify ALL Want Lists of arbitrageurs, but may only nullify the specific Want Lists with arbitrage.
-3- Assume that everybody in the MT (except you) chose the wrong picture to associate with the offer and that the offer description text is the only part of the offer that you can rely on.
-4- Remember that there will be no sympathy for you if an offer description is clearly written but you make a mistake because you did not pay attention to the description. This means that if a participant accidentally chooses a picture of Space Hulk (third edition), but clearly describes the offer as one stick of used chewing gum and you add the used gum to your Want List on your $200 GC offer, then you just traded your $200 for a used stick of gum. It also means that if a participant lists an item and clearly describes the item as incomplete and accurately describes what is included in the offer and you add the item to your Want Lists thinking that it was complete, then you will be expected to ship your item and accept the incomplete item if TradeMaximizer includes your item in a chain.

Note: Only errors by the moderator will invalidate any results once published. If there is a problem after the results are posted, at most, it will only invalidate the affected trade chain(s) and not the entire results set. In addition, if the problem can be resolved by the most directly affected party or parties, then that is perfectly acceptable.

By posting an item in this MT, you agree to abide by the guidelines specific to this particular math trade. The moderator reserves the right to blank (nullify) want lists for any participant for any disruptive behavior. The moderator has final say on all decisions regarding questions with this math trade. If you do not agree to these terms, then please pass on this MT.

If you have any general questions please do NOT click the Post Comment link at the bottom of the GeekList, but rather ask in the Rules Thread.
However, for questions on individual offered GL items, please feel free to add comments to individual geeklist items (but again do not add general comments to the geeklist itself). You may also feel free to "thumb" the item to also express your interest.

At the end of the day, all these MT's are based on trust. We have rules to make the MT more efficient, but the rules are not perfect and do not always cover every situation. We trust each other to do the right thing in situations where the rules are ambiguous. Please do not violate this trust.

Re: Post-Valentines Quickie MT-Rules: First Rule of MTs
As always, the first rule of Math Trades still applies: Never add anything to your MT Want List (Step 4 of the OLWLG) that you would not be pleased to receive in exchange for your offered game.

Also, as always, note that there will NOT be a re-run/mulligan/do-over once results are published unless an error is caused by the moderator. Only errors by the moderator will invalidate any portion of the results. In the case that there is a problem after the results are posted, at most, it will only invalidate the affected trade chain(s) and not the entire results set. In addition if the problem can be resolved by the most directly affected party or parties, then that is perfectly acceptable.

Math Trades are NOT designed to allow participants to be able to review the results, decide that they do not like the results, and request to be able to re-submit updated Want Lists. Nor are MTs designed to allow users to ignore the published results and drop out of the MT. If this level of personal accountability is not acceptable to you, please do not enter this particular MT. By entering items in this MT, you are agreeing to honor your commitments regardless of whether or not you feel you made an error to your detriment.

Note: You will NOT be able to respond to comments in the Offer GeekList once it is locked down and the Submit Want List period begins. So, it is a great idea to check the OLWLG for any questions posted to your offers one last time about 20 minutes prior to the close of the Offer Submission period.

Post-Valentines Quickie MT-Rules: Bounties
Incentive Bounties: Frequently, tips are given to the people that moderate Math Trades. If this MT accumulates any tips, 100% of such tips will be awarded to others.

1. Delivering the Goods Bounty: Of the total tipped, I am going to give 1/3 to the MT participant that traded the most items that were actually requested on the Request List. (So take another look at the Request List and see if there is anything that you can offer). Obviously, this is intended to encourage people to offer the things that the participants in this MT want the most. There is no easy way to determine the winner of this award, so I will need help from the community after the MT is over to determine who wins this award.

2. MVP Bounty: Of the total tipped, I am going to give 1/3 to the MT participant who traded the single most wanted item. (So you might want to add some sweeteners to your offers to increase the demand)!! Obviously, this is intended to encourage everyone to offer the high-end games and lots of high-end stuff. Gift cards will not be eligible for this one, but have their own specific bounty (see below).

3. ToolTime Bounty: Of the total tipped, I am going to split 1/3 between [userid=cokasaki] and [userid=JeffyJeff].

4. Super-Dee-Duper Bonus Bounty: I will give 8 GG to every single participant that offers AND subsequently trades at least one game that is rated #1 on my Wishlist. Does not have to trade to me--just has to trade. This GG will not come from the tips but rather from my personal account.

5. Last Chance Bounty: I'm going to give away one of my games offered in this MT that does not trade. If you put one or more of my games on your WantList and that game does not trade in this MT, then you will be eligible to win a free copy of the game that you added to your Want List. I will choose one game that does not trade and offer it to one of the MT participants that had it listed on at least one of their Want Lists for zero cost other than the price of shipping. Clearly, it is not worth adding my games to your WLs if you have no interest, but if you are on the bubble about a title, perhaps this offer will tip the scales. Obviously, this is intended to encourage everyone to add my offers to their Want Lists.

6. Hidden Gem Offer Bounty: I am adding an incentive for best color commentary.
At the end of the Offer Submission period, I will ask each participant to nominate an offer that had interesting color commentary and whose color commentary was the most likely to induce other participants to consider reading the blurb, researching the item described, and adding the item to Want Lists.
Depending on the number of nominations, I will either be The Decider or may set up a poll for participants to vote. The winner will get a code or enough to buy a microbadge. Obviously, it will be difficult for any write-up of the top 25 games on BGG to win as they cannot be much of a "hidden" gem to many people on BGG. Also, offers of and Gift Cards are not eligible no matter how good/funny/interesting the description is.

7. Don't Tell My Spouse Bounty: The person that offers AND subsequently trades the highest total amount of Gift Cards will receive a code or enough to buy a microbadge. For example, if user "A" traded four (4) $20 GCs and nobody else traded $80 worth of GCs then user "A" earns the bounty.
If there is a tie for highest total $$ Gift Cards traded, the tie breaker will be whoever gave the largest single gift card as part of the total. For example, if user "A" traded four (4) $20 GCs and user "B" traded one (1) $60 GC and one (1) $20 GC and nobody else traded $80 worth of GCs then user "B" earns the bounty.
If there is still a tie then the next tie-breaker is the person that posted the highest GC earliest in the MT will win.

Post-Valentines Quickie MT-Rules: Bad Trader Redemption Plan
Bad Trader Redemption Plan:

Any user that has caused the chain to break in a previous MT or has been reported as a bad trader is prohibited, unless they comply with the escrow provision outlined below:

Bad Traders that are attempting to rehabilitate may participate in this MT if they provide the moderator with a Gift Card to Amazon.com prior to the end of Want List submission for the full amount of the sum total of all the items that they are offering in this MT as determined by the moderator (with input from the community). This provision is not at all intended to be punitive, but rather just to safeguard the integrity of the MT. 100% of the escrowed funds will be returned to the user once all the user's trades from this MT have been verified as successfully completed. 100% of the escrowed funds will be forfeited if the user refuses to ship or fails, in any way, to successfully complete all trades from this MT. These funds will then be used by the moderator to repair any damage caused to the MT by the users failure.

Post-Valentines Quickie MT-Rules: Arbitrage
Arbitrage:

You may not put geekgold on your want list for your offered geekgold entry. For example, you may not try to trade your offer of 800 for another user's offer of 900 .

And you may not put a gift card/certificate for a greater amount on your want list for your offered gift card/certificate entry. For example, you may not try to trade your $25 GC from Amazon for another user's offer of a $35 GC from ThoughtHammer.

GC downgrade or lateral transfer: You may put a gift card/certificate for a lesser or equal amount on your want list for your offered gift card/certificate entry. For example, if you offer a $75 GC from CoolStuff, you may add a GC for $50 from Home Depot to your MT Want List. Or if you offer a $45 GC from Boards&Bits, you may add a GC for $45 from Victoria's Secret to your MT Want List.

Post-Valentines Quickie MT- Rules: Shipping Details
Shipping:

100% of shipping costs (except for optional insurance) will be paid by the sender (the person that posts an offer). By entering items in this MT you are agreeing to these shipping terms. There will be no "I will pay the first $nn". There will be no "mirror shipping". There will be no "The receiver must pay $nn". There is no ambiguity. The sender pays the shipping costs. So, obviously you should take this into account when you build your Want Lists--if you offer Space Hulk (third edition), then only put items on your MT Want Lists that are worth the value of Space Hulk (third edition) plus the cost to ship Space Hulk (third edition).

If this shipping policy is not acceptable to you, please do not enter items into this particular MT. The sender is prohibited from charging the receiver for shipping (other than insurance if the receiver requests it) in this MT.

The default shipping method will be the least-cost method (typically USPS Priority Flat Rate) with a delivery confirmation or tracking number, but without insurance.

The sender may not charge the receiver for insurance unless the receiver requests insurance.
The sender is free to choose a more expensive and faster shipping method (but may not require the receiver to pay extra). (After the results are published (and confirmed), receivers may volunteer to pay extra and request faster shipping or work out other arrangements suitable to both parties).
The receiver may request to pay for insurance (totally up to the receiver).

Post-Valentines Quickie MT-Rules: Changing Your Offer
Change Management Process:

1. Do not delete offered items from the Offer Geeklist once you have posted them. Deleting posted offers causes the integrity of the numbering system to collapse and user scripts to break.
It's totally cool if you don't want to trade an item once it's added--maybe you get an irresistible private offer, maybe your game is not in the condition you remembered, maybe your dog ate it. The reason does not matter. You don't have to reveal the details, but you are welcome to insert an amusing story explaining why the item is no longer available if you wish. Even if you do not provide a story, you should change the offer to Outside the Scope of BGG, change the description to +altname+ Zilch -altname-, and remember to submit a Blank Want List for this entry.

2. Also, do not do not substitute, split, change, downgrade, denigrate, or degrade an offered main item or any sweeteners once they are posted. While this type of change does not destroy the numbering system, it does destroy the overall integrity of the MT. Back in the "old days" the total number of items offered was small enough that MT participants could easily review the list several times prior to final submission of Want Lists so changes (to main items or sweeteners) back then were not much of a problem. However, with the evolution of the MT tools, current MTs are often gigantic and with the deficiencies of the current GeekList format for trading, many (most?) participants only work through the offers on the Offer GeekList once (in real time as they are being added) and never see any changes that might be made. This obviously causes problems if material changes of any kind are made. If you no longer wish to trade an entry as it was originally posted, you should change the offer to Outside the Scope of BGG, change the description to +altname+ Zilch -altname-, and remember to submit a Blank Want List for this entry.
If you still want to trade a portion of the original offer or some variation of the original offer, simply re-post a new offer with the new details.

3. In the current MT environment, the only changes that are appropriate are providing clarifications (that do not materially change your original offer), switching the picture to one that better matches the text of your offer and adding sweeteners. All other changes should be handled with the process described above where you blank the original offer, submit a blank Want List for that original offer and possibly add a new offer.

Is this a bit kludge-y and cumbersome? Yes, but it is currently the best way to minimize misunderstandings, miscommunications, and drama.

Post-Valentines Quickie MT-Rules: Tips for finishing up
Tips for Finishing Up:

Everyone -- please go to step 2 of OLWLG and re-check whether you have correctly entered your zip code (the entry field is just under the list of Active Math Trades). If not, please do so immediately.

Please note that it's best to add items to your initial MT Want List (step 3 of OLWLG) during the offer submission period [the add as you go approach] and to submit your MT Want List (step 4 of OLWLG) early - you can always make changes and resubmit later. This will prevent you from being left out if you forget the deadline.

Also: Creating MT Want Lists is not the same as submitting them. To submit them you will need to click on the "Submit My Wants" button (once it becomes available). If you're not sure how to find this, consult the documentation referenced above or ask in the discussion thread.

When you submit your MT Want Lists, you will receive a confirming GeekMail (from JeffyJeff). If you don't get one, your MT Want Lists haven't been submitted. And it is important to review this geekmail to ensure that you did not make a mistake when you created your Want List.

Before you hit the "Submit My Wants" button for the last time, make sure to re-check all your MT Want Lists one last time. Use the Summary tab.

Please enter lots of items and have some fun with this. Good luck!

Post-Valentines Quickie MT-Rules: After Results are Announced
What to do when the results are announced:

After the Submit Want Lists period is over and while the Trade Maximizer is running, everyone should ensure that all their offered items are listed as available for trade in their BGG collection.

You should also review the guidelines outlined here: After the Results are Declared Official.

When the results are announced, everyone should review the results and immediately notify the moderator if any issues are spotted.

And then STOP and take a deep breath.

Later, after the moderator has declared the results official, then Receivers should send a BGG trade offer to the current owners (Senders).
Senders may feel free to contact the Receivers and initiate the trade if they want.

While all the tools and data are available for everybody to re-run the trade with all kinds of different settings and parameters (including the removal of various Want Lists), if you do so...
Please, please, please do NOT post a comment about what could have changed or a link to different results. It just causes unneeded drama. If you do not like the settings that will be used for this MT or you do not like who is participating or you do not like the rules, just skip this MT. Do NOT stir the pot.

Don't be afraid to send a polite GM to someone reminding them to put up a trade if you don't see it.

A couple more things that have served me well in the past (and I appreciate as well):
- Communicate - Let people know when you plan to ship something or if you might be delayed beyond the end of the week. It'll keep them from getting panicky that you're a 'bad' trader.

- Assume the Best - Bad traders are fortunately very rare, and people can find themselves unexpectedly busy. Try a polite GM before raising a red flag here.

- Try and Relax - Again, people can find themselves unexpectedly busy because of work, sickness, car problems, etc. Don't get panicky before at least a week has gone by.

- Don't Blow Your Lid Publicly - It never ends well for the 'complainer'. Try to resolve it privately with both the party you are trading with and Moderators if further necessary. If that doesn't work, there are proper channels to register trade complaints (the moderators can help with this: I believe that Octavian is in charge of the Trade Police?).

I don't want to come across as dense, but since you say this is invitation only, but the invite is available to all who have a continental us address my question is:

Do I need to do anything to be invited? I have participated in 2 math trades, have never broken the chain or anything like it, so I'm just curious. Thanks!

It's actually now called Standard Post by USPS (although Ebay calls it Parcel Select). Unless an item is extremely heavy and going a good distance between the two parties, it's usually not much less than Priority. Plus with Priority you get free boxes, standard post you would have to buy one or come up with them from somewhere.

And depending on distance and weight the cheapest rate can sometimes be called, "FedEx Ground."
But generally for single games, USPS Priority is often cheaper than what used to be called Parcel Post.

For GC's and Steam games- are we allowed to note that we'll do digital delivery only?

In fact with the new price changes that went into affect this month Standard is usually the exact same price as priority by weight. And if it's heavy and will fit in a flat rate box, it's often more expensive now to go Standard.

This is especially true with the print from home postage labels which knock a dollar on average off Priority, but is not an available service for Standard packages.

Guy at the local post office said all of this is by design as they are moving towards phasing out Standard/Parcel and getting everyone using Priority.

Yes.

I don't think that digital delivery of GCs will be unusual at all.

For Steam games, I do not know all the ins and outs, so please be extremely careful to exhaustively explain exactly what the receiver is getting and what they have to do to use your item.

Re: Post-Valentines Quickie MT -- Rules / Newbie Questions Thread -- Short Duration CONUS (OOPs, Wargames, 18xx, CCGs, Comics, Software, DVDs, BoardGames -- Planet Steam, PoR, Up Front, ...)
Guys,

Never done a math trade before, but am interested in getting started. I've blown through a solid $1500 in board games in the last three months, having gotten into the hobby a few months before that, and picked up a few things that I just don't like or don't get played, so a math trade seems perfect as I see several items on offer that I'm interested in.

However, I see a bunch of code at the bottom of a bunch of these offers that clearly has to do with whatever program the moderator will be using, plus I'm not really sure what I am supposed to do after posting an offer in the geeklist. Could someone give me a quick and dirty walkthrough (or a link to one) for how math trades using this software go? I'm curious to know best practices and such, so I make sure to post correctly and know when to follow up. Thanks!

The offer list hasn't been posted yet; Roamdog plans on posting it tonight. Only the request list is up right now - that's so people can let others know what there could be wanted.

Here's what you need: Math Trade Video Tutorials

Some general advice:

1. Don't put anything on your want list that you won't be happy to trade for. If you check an item, once the math trade software runs, that trade is considered final.

2. Start with just one or two items in case you screw up royally.

3. Don't put anything on your want list that you won't be happy to trade for.

4. Ask lots of questions.

5. Don't put anything on your want list that you won't be happy to trade for.

6. Have fun!

7. If you put something on your want list, read its entire description at some point before you submit your list. If you don't, you'll probably regret it.
