I just played this game yesterday and really enjoyed it, but there was one thing that was unclear from the wording in the rules and quick searches on board game geek, having to do with flying monsters.
If a flying monster is in the sky, and an investigator ends his movement in the street, is it pretty much a given that he will be attacked by all the flying monsters? Or will he only be attacked if the monsters that are in the sky have their given symbol come up on the mythos card as one of the symbols that moves.
The flyers in the sky with the given symbol and flyers with the given symbol that are in a space adjacent to the investigator in the street will move onto that investigator. I also think that all flyers move if there is a 'gate burst' mythos card drawn (in Dunwich Horror Expansion).
Similarly, when a flying creature comes out of a gate, does it stay there until its symbol comes up, at which point it attacks whoever is in the streats with the lowest sneak value or goes to the sky, or does it simply do those things immediately?
The flyer stays on the gate until its symbol comes up then it will move to an investigator in an adjacent street space (or the space the flyer is in) or it will go to the sky if there are no adjacent investigators.
The nub of the gist is that if the flyer is not in the sky and its symbol comes up it will either move to an adjacent investigator or it will go to the sky if there is no adjacent investigator. If the flyer is in the sky when its symbol comes up, then it will move to the investigator who is on a street space and has the lowest sneak.
