I was out at Vegas for my 40th birthday last week and came back to a ton of mail. It included some timely info from some Geekbuddies, trade offers, and the usual updates.

It would be nice if you could set an "out of the office" sort of setting on your account. It would turn off the automatic game notices and let people know you are currently not checking BGG when they send offers of just GM.

It would be a great feature for those of us that visit regularly and would like inform people that send us email that we will not be replying until a certain date.

Does this already exist? just wondering.

Showing this microbadge under your avatar may give people a clue: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/browse/microbadge/5193

I would like to see an ability to indicate that as well, especially if it auto replied to users geekmail.

That seems pretty obscure. I doubt anyone would notice it. How often do you note people's microbadges change?

In the past, I've written a note on my profile page, but I don't know how many folks would see that.

Altho, if I'm making a trade offer to someone, I do usually check their profile page to see when they last logged in.

How about if you make a copy of your avatar image and then superimpose a message over it that says something like "Away from BGG until June 1st".
Something like this:

I was thinking the same thing. The badge would be nice, but I would like to have some sort of notification.
