Is there any way to get everything to fit in the box? Even If I take the insert and the tray out the top doesn't go all the way on.

This one does pack tight. I just solve the problem by putting another game on top of it. That holds everything in.

Just remove the manuals of the languages you don't understand?

Actually I think it is a problem with the new non warping player boards. They are quite a bit thicker than the original ones.

Edit: added player board comment

When I pack mine efficiently, the top only sticks up a little bit. This is one of the games that I store flat (instead of like a book).

That's exactly what I did, don't need all the manuals in the box.
Now everything fits perfectly.

I also separated all the pieces into little baggies.
Makes the initial setup just a little quicker.

I stuck the extra manuals under the insert. I should've thrown them out, but I'm a pack rat like that. Anyway, it worked well enough.

At least it's not like Tide of Iron, where the box has more empty space than an atom in Paris Hilton's brain.
