Yesterday we played #47 and found the snake stuck in the basement with no chance of getting out as the only way out was the Mystic elevator which was used by another player to flee. This left us (the players) on the ground floor to do whatever we wanted indefinetly. As the traitor have been transformed into a monster and monsters can't draw new tiles this resultet in a somewhat of a deadlock.
If I remember rightly (and I haven't got the book in front of me to check) I think it states that the snake can draw new cards. Which means that if you're alone in the basement as the snake you're probably on to a good start.
