Then take 3 points off its average rating.

This is how much the bloke will like it.

With my girlfriend, you multiply BGG's "game weight" ranking by 2, and then subtract that value from 10.

Games rated around 6.8 often turn out to be our (family) favorites. I understand why the highest rated games often don't appeal (too long), but I haven't quite figured out why this is our lucky number.
