The rules say - "Points are awarded in exactly the same way as in the original Alhambra (with points being shared if the building numbers and wall points are tied)."

I understand how you share points if building numbers are tied.

I don't understand how wall points are shared if tied. I thought that in the original Alhambra points were scored based on the number of walls and that sharing this number with other people made no difference.

What does this part of the rules mean?

To clearify that officialy:
You are right. Wall points are not subject for a tie. You simply get your points for the segments.
