OK, so you're in a public restroom. This isn't a multi-stall sort of public restroom, just a one-toilet, one-room, unisex bathroom. The door is solid and has a lock on it.

Now. You're in the bathroom, doing your business. This isn't the quick-and-easy business; this is your BUSINESS. You finish up and flush. But you notice that your business isn't going down. So, you hold your breath, say a small prayer, and flush again. No dice.

Now, next to the toilet is a plunger. It's there because, obviously, this is a recurring phenomenon. Do you:

a) plunge your mess; or
b) leave it?

Plunge, without a doubt. There could be someone right outside that door. The more compelling question is what if there is no plunger?

What mess? That isn't my mess. Must have been the guy who left before me.

You carry a portable arc wielder around with you for these occasions, don't you? Just wield the door shut after you leave.

OK, here's scenario #2:

You go into the bathroom (same setting as outlined above). You notice that someone else has pulled a Chapel and left a tremendous mess in the bowl. You REALLY need to go, and, frankly, have issues with using a multi-stall bathroom for that sort of thing. You can do it if you have to, but you'd prefer to have your privacy. Do you:

a) plunge someone else's mess; or,
b) use the multi-stall bathroom?

Simple.

Sit down on the floor and sob loudly, for at least 10 minutes.

This is quite a dilemma. I offer this solution:

Arrive. Notice the mess. Curse loudly that a bear did the deed. Grab all the TP you can. Storm out of the bathroom. TP everything in the office, including your boss. Feel happy.
