In the images section on this page there are two pictures of the setup: one for the Allies and one for Japan. In each picture there are blocks in the general information track. It looks like a US ground force block in "5", a Commonwealth naval unit in "8", and a Japanese ground unit in "10".

Does anyone know why these are placed on the General Info track? I can't find any reference to it in the set up or rules.

By the way, the image ID nos are 287351 and 287354.

Thanks

I cannot say for sure, but I believe they are marking the starting WERPS. In the first turn of the campaign scenario, the US has 5 WERPS, the Commonwealth 8, and the Japanese 10.

I do agree with Bill. It seems as if these blocks are used as a kind of indicators/reminders for the starting WERP values.

But there is a disk for Japanese base WERPS. But I guess it makes sense for the US and Commonwealth WERPS.

Thanks.
