So... what's with all the men on this website with hot chick avatars? I think you know what I'm talking about. Sometimes it's a short animation of a woman doing something slinky, or an illustration of some fantasy babe, often times it's the picture of a pin-up model (regularly in a swimsuit).

I always thought of avatars as being some kind of self-representational picture. Is there a large transgendered community on BGG?

I think my buddy said it best when I asked him why his WoW toon was a female night elf: "Dude, I'd rather look at the ass of a slender chick night elf for 6 hours a night than the hairy backside of a dwarf."

That STILL doesn't sound right.

You have no avatar, does that mean you think of yourself as nothing?

For some it's because they think the animation is cool. Some like the particular female depicted in their avatar (be it a model, painting, porn star, wife, girlfriend, or daughter). It's still self-representational, just not in a "this is how I look" way.

Now now..... as hard as it is to imagine, some of these "dudes" are really ladies. Some of them even hot chicks! Doing the arithmetic and then doing the arithmetic again comes out to some fraction of a fraction of which the fraction is some figure I couldn't really get, but it's still possible.

In correlation to this post he should be holding a picture of a hot chick.

Look, I'm not trying to out you or anything, but you're embarrassing yourself a little with the lame, "No, really, it's the tunic and the pistol!" Just be honest with yourself and with us: you like the guy's lanyard. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Randy...

P.S.-- It took me a trip to Wikipedia (under "Tokarev") to determine that the nearly vertical line in the picture under his raised arm was in fact a lanyard attached to the pistol to prevent its loss if dropped. I've heard of similar lanyards attaching hand weapons to the armor of European knights.

Thanks for keeping Zardoz in the collective consciousness. If not for that movie, one might have been able to say for a long time that Sean Connery could do no wrong. :-)

Eli Wallach's character, Tuco, also used a string on his pistol to serve the same purpose in "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly".

Now that type of activity (using kid/baby avatars) here on the geek just ain't right and all should be removed from this site.
