..they ask for a rematch

True story, in high school I had a friend I played Dover Patrol with (naval version of Stratego). We played 27 games. He lost the first 25 games, drew the 26th and won the 27th. Once he'd won a game he had no interest in playing again. cry

Rank amateurs.

I had a friend introduce me to Up Front in college, and he (thank the gods) insisted that I go out and find my own copy. (Back then, this wasn't a problem.)

He proceeded to whip my ass every single time we played, over many years. It didn't matter what I did - especially in later games, when I'd "do everything right".

I didn't want to start counting win/loss statistics, because I'm pretty sure my loss record would be in the hundreds, with 0 wins.

I got my first win recently, as the Germans to his Americans, over 15 years since we graduated school, with kids of our own.

I feel a spell has been broken. And yes, the game is that good.
