I have little expereince with CCG and Middle-Earth CCG.

I have challenge decks being mailed to me. So I have cards to play.

Do I need a map? Is the map used as reference or is it a board to play on?

Everyone sells cards but no maps--where do I get a map?

Is the flaming eye dice just a regual dice with the the sauron as 1?

The dice looks cool, how many and where can I find the sauron dice?

Where are the rules? Is it in the challenge decks?

There's a tiny map in the rules, and if you use starter movement the sites you can move to are on the site cards, but really you need a reference map to play.

Under the downloads section.

Rules are in the challenge decks along with some hints how to play the deck at the end - and rules also at the website given above.

Dice are regular d6 but with the 1 as an eye.

This site has them for sale: http://www.gwaihir.net/product.php

but it's based in Holland (price in Euros).

I actually just uploaded my favorite MECCG maps, one each for the Hero and Minion alignments. In my opinion, they are the most readable and beginner-friendly maps I've encountered on the web.

I did not create them myself... but the web page I originally downloaded them from seems to be broken:

http://www.buonanno.org/MECCG

In any case, check them out when they get approved. Enjoy!

Edit: They've been approved:
