You'd think that there would be some decent board game shops in a city the size of London but I'm yet to find any. Does anyone know better than me? I hope so...

Playin' Games - across the street from British Museum. Make sure to go down to the basement.

Leisure Games

Excellent store. Not far from a tube staion. I have used them for years. Especially when i lived in london in the late 80's. Still use them for mail order.

Leisure Games
100 Ballards Lane
Finchley
London N3 2DN

http://www.leisuregames.com/

Select their "contact us" link and you can select to view a map for their location.

Enjoy.

Both of the above.

Orc's Nest [http://www.orcsnest.com] is another decent shop near Leicester Square. Be sure to go upstairs for the board and war games.

Leisure Games x 10.

5 times the range as Orc's nest and Playin Games combined.

Playin Games has a poor stock and the staff are not exactly gamers.
Orcs Nest has a reasnoable range - but having not got as much as a smile or a hallo out of their staff despite buying 20 board games from them this year i have decided to take my business elsewhere.

I agree.

Orc's Nest is central but Leisure Games is much friendlier and has far more stock. If games are your thing then Leisure Games is worth the trek.

Don't waste your time, go straight to Leisure Games: they have the biggest collection of all, and very well displayed too.
