I guess some people might be interested to know that a pc game based on La Grande Guerre 14-18 and titled WW1: La Grande Guerre 14-18 (go figure) is being developed and is scheduled to be released on "November 11th, 11:00 AM (GMT+1), for the exact peace signature 90th anniversary of the Great War". The developer is called Ageod and the pc game is designed by Philippe Thibaut, who also designed the board game.

Here's a link for those who want to know more: http://www.ageod.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10311

The areas are the same as the hex map if you look closely. So, according to Philippe it's basically the same game with the same engine, just with the computer doing the chores for accounting, dice rolling etc. A must-buy for me.

When the PC version first came out, there were definitely some problems and bugs. But rarely have I seen such dedicated support on a game as has been provided by the developer Calvinus, as well as from Philippe Thibault. There has been some tremendous work done on improving the game, and it's an ongoing process, which is not surprising given the complexity of the board game itself. My hat goes off to them for the effort they are putting into making this game shine, and I recommend heading over to the Ageod or Matrix games sites and check this game out.

Anyone know if this is still available?
