How do I quote specific lines from someone else's thread that I want to reply to. Which of the above aids will help me do this.

Click the Quote or QuickQuote button. Between [ q="Username" ] and [ /q ] (without the spaces) is the quoted text.

Ooh a little higher, now a bit to the left, a little more, a little more, just a bit more. Oooh yes, that's the spot!

None of the above, but quote or quick quote below the post will help.

You can then edit stuff out to just quote what you want.

Basically it creates [ q="OriginalPosterName" ] blah blah [ /q ] remove the spaces for the real text.

If you want to quote a single entry in the thread you are replying to simply click on the quote link for that entry and you will get a reply box with the quoted text already inserted, you may want to delete part of the entry to only include part of what you want.

If you want to quote from somewhere else, copy and paste it into your replay and surround it with the {q} and {/q} tags (using square brackets). You can specify who or what you are quoting by adding ="name" following the first q within the brackets.

When posting or replying check to see if you have ticked the "Disable emoticons" check box. If you have ticked it, remove the tick meeple

That may be the answer
