Hi All,

I have seen that Boardgamegeekers from all over the world are in the final stages of preparation for the Essen event: servicing their environmentally-approved car engines, loading up their credit cards, completing their geeklists, wishlists and try-before-buy lists, planning their journeys, hotels, parking lots and babysitters, which obviously shows how serious we all take this Big Event.....

but I have not seen any posts which seriously address the issue of dress code...leaving quite a big gap, it seems to me...blush

I personally will be wearing my brand new full colour Kraków 1325 AD Limited Edition T-shirt ! And so could you !

Have a look:http://www.krakowgame.com/en/other-stuff.html

If you feel like wearing and taking home one of these rare icons, drop me a line and pre-order the T-shirt for collection at the Reiver Games stand (hall 4 - stand 415).....as long as stocks last (and they won't last long, I fear)....

See you at Essen, drive and dress safely.

Peter

Shoot, you're not even trying. Make it a Bananagrams hammock and a Monkey Auto Races headpiece.

I think one picture of Bas in his unusual geekwear should be quite enough for this thread.....it might not be essential to copy it every time....

Bas: I assume you will pass by the Reiver Games stand and get yourself a Kraków 1325 AD t-shirt, which you might wear over the (b)all-revealing Bavarian shorts, right ?

Cheers,

Peter

Bas I think that is a very wise decision.

Especially after seeing four large pictures of you in this kit presented like a slide show from Groundhog Day, I started to feel it does not quite do justice to your physique.

A Kraków t-shirt, anyone ? Anyone at all ?

I really fancy having one of those but, unfortunately, I will not be at Essen. I might try the email option on the website. The chance of it making it here to me though, is very slim. The incidence of postal theft here is so bad that Amazon made a statement announcing that they are no longer prepared to ship to this country via mail (courier only). Do you think that tracked/secure mail would be possible for the t-shirt? How about sending the game along with it?

Hi Mark,

can you send me an email directly to info@krakowgame.com ?

I am happy to see how I could ship t-shirt and game in one package to you - if the courier option is too expensive (quite likely), I am sure I will have other options, if you have a bit of patience.

My wife is from Zimbabwe, my brother in law lives in Johannesburg and several of my ex-colleagues travel to/through South Africa on a fairly regular basis. I am sure I can get you the game through travelling friends/acquintances some time over the next three months or so, if we make a plan.

And you might still become the first South African to own the game (if none make it to Essen and beat you to it, of course)....!

Cheers,

Peter

Hi David,

if you spend enough money, I am sure you can have an animated avatar inside your shirt !

Before you do so, it would be great to know what the badger is actually doing with its legs/paws before you press the "It's Alive" button. You might have few friends at Essen if it is what I assume....

Cheers,

Peter

I'll be wearing my Gameink T-Shirts; not all at the same time. My compliments to Chad.

But if any game producers/designers would like to advertise for free by donating a T-Shirt for me to wear, I will gladly oblige (size permitting).

Inspired by Jon "EYE of NiGHT" Power's attire last year, I've got this little fella on a couple of shirts:

However, I've run into the same kind of problems as Zark has - see here.
