Blueblockers for everyone!

Hide the hamsters...the Visitors are baaack!

Hoping to do for V what the Sci Fi Channel did for Battlestar Galactica, ABC has given the go-ahead on a reboot of the hit 1980s franchise about alien lizards from another planet who take over Earth.

Scott Peters, the brain behind The 4400, will write and executive produce the update with Warner Bros. TV, per Variety.

SONOVGUN! I just got and watched the original mini-series from Netflix last night! Really, just LAST NIGHT!!! I thought it was cheesy, preachy and outdated by today's standards but nevertheless...

I might have some kind of precognizant power or better still I'm influencing future events by my Netflix selections.

Yawn. One good miniseries, one weaker one, and one lame series does not make for much of a franchise.

C'mon on now. It did have one of the best lines of unintentional humor this side of porn:

"I am undefeated in mortal combat."

Just rewatched the original mini-series last week, it holds up. For an older show (that hurts to write, I know exactly where I was the night the mini-series first aired) the pacing and layered storytelling was ahead of its time.

I am just.

I love the Visitors' flag. A swastika depicted on a clock radio.

I also re-watched this recently for the first time in 20 plus years & thought it held up very well. It's well written & generally well acted with several unexpectedly strong female characters. The analogy isn't subtle, but the 80's wasn't know for its subtlety.
I don't see the need to remake it, but I could say the same of a lot of TV\movies.
