I am looking for a good Viking game. I have read articles and have heard suggestions on Fire & Axe: A Viking Saga, but am wondering if there are any other ones.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Vikings is a neat game, but perhaps a bit weak on theme. You certainly won't feel like you're conquering and pillaging. You'll probably enjoy the tile-laying aspect if you like Carcassonne.

Viking Raiders is the only Viking game I own or have played, but I thoroughly enjoy it, and also the other games in that series.

This is a man-to-man combat game, however, not an epic quest or civilisation-building game.

If you can find it, Vikingatid is a detailed, strategic level game about the Viking era

Fire and Axe: A Viking Saga is great. If you have 5-6plkayers then Eketorp is a lite fun game.

If the theme is important the Fire and Axe:A Viking Saga is the way to go. It's a great game!

Eketorp is a good choice if you want a game for 6 players.

Vikings is also good but would be my last choice.

I've only played Vikings, but I do NOT recommend it. Terribly boring game. Nothing like Carcassonne like a previous poster said.

Thanks for all of the input. I think that I will go with Fire and Axe. The Viking theme is what I am looking for - got to love a good conquest, raiding and pillaging.

If you like Settlers, I'd recommend Graenaland. Theme is not as strong as say Fire & Axe, but I think it's a better game. Hard to find, though.

I really enjoyed Midgard. It's basically an area control game, with some fun mechanics. The sweet spot on this one is around 4 players.

Oh, did you mean a game about Vikings?
I can do no better than to recommend Pig Wars: When Men Were Men and Pigs Were Money

Fire & Axe: A Viking Saga is a great game and matches the theme very well and Vikings is a neat game too - but as JohnRayJr said - a bit weak on theme

The Fury of the Norsemen is a light 2-player wargame that fully inhabits its theme of Vikings raiding a medieval English village. The rules are fairly simple, pretty generic wargame stuff, with some added Viking related chrome that adds theme without adding too much complexity.

Also, I love Fire & Axe: A Viking Saga, and I agree that it is the top recommendation. No other Viking themed games come close. Check it out.
